The Raid director Gareth Evans’ new action film Apostle releases first image

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Who didn't love Gareth Evans' awesome RAID films? They were badass, visceral, and fun as hell! Which means I can't wait for his next film, APOSTLE (not to be confused with the 1997 Robert Duvall drama – though imagine Evans taking on that!) Instead this film is set in 1905, and is a period action film starring Dan Stevens who has to rescue his sister from a dangerous cult, I assume by kicking everyone's ass.

Anyway, here's the first official still from the film. Let's take a look:

Not much to go on, but still stylish regardless. Period action films are pretty rare in general, so I'm excited to see what Evans has up his sleeves. I'm all in!

But what do you Schmoes think? Sound off below!

Meanwhile APOSTLE will reach theaters sometime in 2018.
