The Seth Rogen & James Franco comedy The Interview will arrive on Christmas

THE INTERVIEW marks the second written/directed film by the duo of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Their first, THIS IS THE END, proved to be a profitable venture for the two as it grossed over $100 million domestically on a $32 million budget. THE INTERVIEW looks to take political satire to a whole new level and it's bound to be one of the best Christmas presents you'll receive this year, as it's now opening on Christmas Day.

Here's the international trailer:

This new release date will put the movie up against the likes of BIG EYES, INTO THE WOODS, SELMA and UNBROKEN. While none of those seem like they would be tapping into THE INTERVIEW's audience, HOT TUB TIME MACHINE 2 is also slated for a Christmas release. It should be interesting to see if that'll remain the same going forward. Otherwise, Seth Rogen and James Franco have more than proven that they're a charismatic duo, so I'm looking forward to what they can bring to a movie of this scale.
