Is WHITE HOUSE DOWN a comedy or an action film? Did we transport back to the 80s/90s? Is this another version of DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE?
The second trailer for Roland Emmerich‘s shows us that there’s more to this film than just Channing Tatum looking buff and being serious, and shit blowing up. Wait, did I just get that confused with Michael Bay‘s norm? Nope, I didn’t add boobs.
Actually, I like Tatum and this trailer gives me a lot more to look forward to. As I said, the comedy is pretty heavy here but it works and sells the film for me anyway. There’s definitely more dialogue from Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal. But still no boobs. Check out the trailer below.
Synopsis: In Columbia Pictures’ White House Down, Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.
