Updated: The Twilight Zone series to be rebooted by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources say the show hails from Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw banner, with Marco Ramirez (Netflix Marvel dramas The Defenders and Daredevil, Sons of Anarchy) is set to pen the script and serve as showrunner. CBS All Access declined comment on Peele and Ramirez's involvement as official details have not yet been revealed beyond Moonves' initial announcement.

During an earnings call with investors of CBS All Access, CBS boss Leslie Moonves revealed that the network has plans to reboot the legendary sci-fi TV series THE TWILIGHT ZONE! The new series will mark yet another major acquisition by way of the sci-fi genre, with the service's STAR TREK: DISCOVERY already delighting many fans of the long-running space exploration epic.

Unfortunately, no creative forces for THE TWILIGHT ZONE reboot were named during the call, nor were any release window estimates for the forthcoming project. While this aspect of the news does come as quite the bummer, we now get to speculate wildly as to who will eventually helm the lofty endeavor. For those of you who want to scratch your now raging itch for Rod Serling's episodic excursion into the unknown, CBS All Access already offers the original anthology series created by Rod Serling, which ran on CBS from 1959-1964.

Imagine if you will, a David Lynch Twilight Zone. Yeah, that would most definitely be a hell of a thing.

Who would you like to see helm a rebooted trip into the fifth dimension? Let us know in the comments section below!
