The results are in!

The Schmoes have spoken and the winners of The 18th Annual Golden Schmoes are here! The major winner this year was AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, which came just shy of besting our all-time winner THE DARK KNIGHT by two votes, but still managed to unseat THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING in the all-time number two spot with eleven total wins. As a huge fan of the film myself, I think the votes went to the right place, considering I think it was unquestionably the best superhero film of the year.

The other two big winners were SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE and BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, each of which took home three awards. ANNIHILATION and A QUIET PLACE each took home two awards, with the rest falling to single title wins after the massive shut out of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. Notable losses were A STAR IS BORN, BLACKKKLANSMAN, THE FAVOURITE and BLACK PANTHER, all of which have gotten a lot of attention with the Oscar/Golden Globe crowd. In the end, you all voted and decided, not a special academy or press group and this is how it shook out.

I can't stress enough how important it is to vote (everyone should be pretty well versed on this by now) as MANY of these categories had a VERY close race, sometimes with a difference of just 10 votes.
