The X-Files are re-opened with a 21 minute preview of the revival

In less than one month, fans of The X-Files will be enjoying the return of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. A six episode revival of the classic series is set to begin airing on Fox at 10pm on Sunday, January 24th, with the following five episodes scheduled for Mondays at 8pm.

Three of the episodes have been written by series creator Chris Carter, with the remaining three written and directed by X-Files veterans Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan, and James Wong. Duchovny and Anderson are joined in the cast of these episodes by the likes of William B. Davis, Mitch Pileggi, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Rhys Darby, and Kumail Nanjiani.

If you've been following the revival's progress on its way to your TV screens, I'm sure you're aware that there have been a ton of short promotional videos released for it, but if none of the previous promos have quite hit the spot for you, Fox has dropped quite the treat online for fans of The X-Files – a 21 minute long promo called "Re-Opened":
