Things get messy in the extended trailer for Adam Wingard’s Blair Witch

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

3 months ago we saw the first trailer for what was initially called THE WOODS. At the time, I thought it looked pretty ho-hum for director Adam Wingard (YOU'RE NEXT, THE GUEST) and suspected there might be a twist to it. I never would have guessed that he pulled a 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE and actually made a sequel to a beloved horror film! If you're excited to check out what he has in store with BLAIR WITCH, check out this extended trailer which features a quote from our own Jimmy O labeling this as, "…a truly terrifying cinematic experience"!

Admittedly, I haven't seen THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT since it was released many moons ago, so I can't say I'm "excited" about a sequel. More curious, than anything. With that said, Wingard is known as the man to take tried and true tropes and inject some fun into them, so if our review from SDCC is any indication (check it out HERE), he's done exactly that with BLAIR WITCH!

BLAIR WITCH hits theaters on September 16, 2016.
