The first trailer for the Susanne Bier directed Oscar bait drama THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE recently surfaced on the internets over at Apple. In it, Halle Berry stars as a recent widow who invites her husband’s troubled best friend (Benicio Del Toro) to live with her and her family, resulting in cathartic emotional healing and possibly violent sex. Because as Berry herself taught us in MONSTER’S BALL, an emotional catharsis after a traumatizing loss can only be achieved through gender non-specific violent sex intercut with memories of caressing your pet bird. Check out the trailer over HERE. The film opens October 26th.
