British comic Ricky Gervais is certainly a funny fellow, but his next film THE INVENTION OF LYING doesn’t exactly have a poster-friendly premise due to its apparent absence of guns, car chases, scantily clad chicks, and giant robots.
So how do you promote a movie about an average guy, in an alternate world without misinformation, who suddenly gains the ability to tell the opposite of truth? Probably not too easy. How about a poster like this:
