Filming is underway on FAST FIVE, the fifth film in the FAST AND THE FURIOUS franchise, and three new actors have signed on to join Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Paul Walker in the film. Spanish hottie Elsa Pataky (right), Joaquim de Almeida and Matt Schulze, who you may remember from the first film (I, for one, don’t but that’s just me).
Almeida will play the film’s villain, a ruthless and powerful drug lord (there’s a stretch for a villain). But what you really want to know is who the hottie is. She’ll be playing Vin Diesel’s new girlfriend in this film and you may have seen her before in SNAKES ON A PLANE (she was the really hot mom with the baby). Pataky doesn’t have much film experience beyond that but boy is she hot (no seriously, she’s hot).
Justin Lin, who directed the surprise hit FAST AND FURIOUS (as well as the now-classic “Community” episode “Modern Warfare”), is back in the director’s chair with Universal planning a June 10th release date.
