Tom Cruise returns in first Jack Reacher: Never Go Back images

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

It may not have been the mega-budgeted blockbuster that we normally associate with Tom Cruise nowadays, but JACK REACHER proved to be an effective and highly entertaining action thriller, at least to me. Although it initially seemed like the film hadn't performed well enough to warrant a sequel, JACK REACHER wound up having more legs than the studio anticipated. JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, based upon Lee Child's book by the same name, wrapped up production earlier this year and now People have debuted a couple of first look images from the upcoming sequel.

We don't yet have an official synopsis for JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, but the novel finds Jack Reacher heading back to his old military base in Virginia to meet up with a woman who is now the commanding officer. Once there, he discovers that she has been arrested and that Reacher himself is accused of a sixteen-year old homicide.

JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK is set for a October 21, 2016 release.
