Tom Holland announces he’s wrapped shooting on Spider-Man: Far From Home

He was reborn from the ashes like a phoenix, went on a trip to Europe, saved the girl, beat the baddie, and got a new suit in the process – and now it’s time for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to rest. The actor took to Instagram yesterday to announce he’s officially wrapped shooting on the upcoming SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, concluding a shoot that started back in July and has taken the production to London, Prague, the Czech Republic, Venice and New York City. His spider legs are barking for sure.

This week we saw a ton of set photos of Holland in his new black and red spider suit, so Holland probably felt comfortable revealing yet another look by posting the photo of him standing next to Zendaya’s MJ. They are looking very serious, and are clearly fed up with Mysterio’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) BS.

There are a lot of questions swirling around FAR FROM HOME, including how the events of it can go down after Spidey had the most upsetting, drawn-out death in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. Well, somehow, he comes back to the land of the living, and afterward, goes on a school trip around the world with several of his classmates, which finds him facing off with a new villain who has a fishbowl for a head. Or he doesn’t have one yet, as we’ve seen. Maybe it’s still at the glassmaker’s shop.

Filming may have wrapped but we probably won’t be seeing any footage for quite some time, as it would directly impact the promotion and story of AVENGERS 4. How they intend to promote this movie is anyone’s guess, so the next nine months until the movie’s release on July 5, 2019, will be interesting to live through.
