From Dusk Till Dawn Tom Savini

Five months ago, special effects legend Tom Savini announced that he would be releasing a "gigantic coffee table photo biography" – but that description, along with a look at the cover, was all we had to go on at that time. Now full details have been revealed, as a limited edition of that biography, titled Savini, is now available for pre-order exclusively through DarkInkBooks.com.

One of the most legendary special effects make-up artists in history, Tom Savini is set to release his official biography this fall. From growing up a “Monster Kid” in Pittsburgh to creating the iconic effects in Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th, Creepshow and Maniac to acting in films like From Dusk Till Dawn and Machete, Tom’s astonishing career is told in detail for the first time ever in his official biography, Savini, which is set to be released on his birthday, November 3rd, 2019.

With over 425 color photos from his life and films, dozens never seen before, the beautiful limited-edition coffee table book is every horror collector’s Holy Grail. Told in Tom’s own unique voice, the book reads as if Tom is speaking directly to the reader. Tom himself spent countless hours making sure every single word, sentence and picture in the book was exactly how he wanted.

How limited is this edition? There are only 1013 hand-numbered copies. The book itself is going for $74.99, while copies signed by Savini cost $99.99.

If you find those asking prices too high for a 214 page book, even if it does contain 425 pictures, don't worry. There will also be mass market and ebook editions coming down the line.

But if you want the limited edition delivered to you sometime around November 3rd, head over to the Dark Ink site now.
