Yesterday, we here at Arrow in the Head shared the video listing the Top 10 Worst Horror Movies of 2022. Now we’re going to wrap this year up by looking back at the positives. For the video embedded above, we have compiled a list of the Top 10 Best Horror Movies of 2022! To find out which movies made the list, just click play.

As the video’s logline says, “Well, another year down, my friends. And with it, the time for reflection begins, and what a great year to reflect on for us horror fans. 2022 was the year of the heavy-hitter franchises and the indie darlings. So, let’s get down to brass tacks. These are the horror films that stuck with us the most. No matter where a film lands here, all of these ten entries have their own unique quality. Enjoy, folks. And remember, all of us at JoBlo and Arrow in the Head appreciate the support and hope to see you in the new year!

We’ll let you know up front that no sequels made it onto the 10 Best list – but you might find a prequel or two on there, along with a reboot. And while there was a Stephen King adaptation on the 10 Worst list, a movie based on a story written by a member of the King family had much better luck this year. Also included on this list are several original films, a movie directed by a genre legend, and a mind-boggling technical achievement. There are slashers, ghosts, interdimensional monsters, people being held captive in basements, some holiday horror, and a young woman who desperately wants to be a star.

10: Hellraiser 2022

9: Orphan: 1st Kill

8: The Black Phone

7: Barbarian

6: Crimes of The Future

5: Glorious

4: Christmas Bloody Christmas

3: Pearl

2: Hellbender

1: Mad God

Arrow In The Head’s Top 10 was Written, Narrated, and Edited by Lance Vlcek, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
