Top Gun 2 enlists Jungle Book writer Justin Marks

We haven’t heard a lot over the last year about the sequel to TOP GUN; producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who is returning for the sequel, shared his basic plot idea involving drones, but that’s pretty much it. After the passing of Tony Scott, the project was at a standstill. Today THR is reporting that the sequel to the 80s movie has landed a writer; Justin Marks has signed on to pen the script. He’s been working on Jon Favreau’s upcoming JUNGLE BOOK adaptation, and previously turned in a script for the forgettable STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI.
