Top Gun: Maverick to take flight at CinemaCon

Make sure you pack some Airborne if you’re heading to this year’s CinemaCon because that’s where Top Gun: Maverick will be taking flight. According to DeadlineTop Gun: Maverick will screen during Paramount’s presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday, April 28. No one is saying if Tom Cruise will be in attendance, but you never know; that guy could be anywhere.

Previously, a 13-minute preview for Top Gun: Maverick screened in theaters in August, giving fans a taste of one of 2022’s most anticipated films. Furthermore, we hear that the global premiere for Top Gun: Maverick will be in San Diego, California, on May 4.

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of TOPGUN graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.

In addition to Cruise, the film also stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer.

I almost can’t believe that Top Gun: Maverick is finally coming out. For real this time. The film experienced several delays due to the pandemic, though it appears the time has come to strap in and enjoy the ride.

In addition to taking off in theaters on May 27Top Gun: Maverick will screen at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which runs from May 17-28.
