Toy Story Land set to open this summer at Disney World

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Are you ready to go to infinity and beyond? Well, then it’s time to buy your tickets, pack your bags, and get someone to bring in your mail because it was announced today that the brand new Toy Story Land will open this summer at Disney World!

The announcement was made early this morning on Good Morning America, where Disney put an opening date of June 30 on the upcoming theme park, which will allow fans to immerse themselves into the world of TOY STORY. And, no, this does not mean being forced to wear a costume and play dead when someone walks by.

Here’s the announcement.

Below are some images from the theme park, teasing rides and attractions like Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster; the Alien Swirling Saucers, a ride inspired the "claw" scene in TOY STORY; and Woody’s Lunch Box, a place where you can sit back and have a snack, just like the real toys do. You can also take a look at an aerial view of the park, which stretches across 11 acres of land, which will surely be populated by some of your favorite characters, as well as plenty of Army Men and Legos scattered about to pierce through your shoe.

Toy Story Land is one of many additions Disney is making to their parks as they expand to make room for more of their properties, including Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which is set for next summer. With theme parks like this who wants to stay in the real world? Disney would make a killing selling real estate in these parks.

You can go check out Toy Story Land as soon as June 30, and then catch TOY STORY 4 one year later on June 20, 2019
