Trailer: Charles Bronson look-alike tries to Escape from Death Block 13

We have entered a glorious age of Bronsploitation, as Charles Bronson look-alike Robert "Bronzi" Kovacs has chosen to follow the career path of the icon he shares a face with and is starring in action movies. It's like the flood of Bruceploitation movies that came out after the death of Bruce Lee, but there's only one Bronzi.

We let you know back in November that the latest Bronzi movie is the prison break action flick ESCAPE FROM DEATH BLOCK 13, which was written and directed by Gary Jones. The story of this one: 

After being framed for murder, a man agrees to become an informant during his stay at a notorious prison. Once inside, he finds that his biggest threat may not come from his fellow convicts.

Bronzi's co-stars include Nicholas Turturro, Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs, Chris Hahn, Debbie Scaletta, Tim Lovelace, and Lyindaa Russell. 

A release date for ESCAPE FROM DEATH BLOCK 13 has not yet been announced, but an action-packed teaser trailer has been released online and can be seen below. It looks like this production made great use of the old Ohio State Reformatory, and of Bronzi himself. Especially when it allows him to blast away with some giant guns. This is exactly the sort of stuff I want to see a Charles Bronson look-alike doing.

Bronzi made his screen acting debut in the horror Western FROM HELL TO THE WILD WEST and went on to star in the DEATH WISH-esque DEATH KISS. ESCAPE FROM DEATH BLOCK 13 is his third film.
