Killing Ground Damien Power

A trailer has arrived online for writer/director Damien Power's Australian survival thriller KILLING GROUND, which made its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival back in January. Said to be reminiscent of films like DELIVERANCE, STRAW DOGS, THE VANISHING, and FUNNY GAMES, KILLING GROUND is Power's feature directorial debut.

The story centers on

Ian and Samantha, who arrive at an isolated campsite to find an SUV and a tent but no sign of the occupants. As night falls and the campers fail to return, Ian and Sam grow increasingly uneasy. The discovery of a distressed child wandering in the woods unleashes a terrifying chain of events that will test them to breaking point.

Ian Meadows, Harriet Dyer, Aaron Pedersen, and Aaron Glenane star.

The trailer can be seen below, and judging from that it appears that KILLING GROUND is a pretty intense ride.

The North American distribution rights to the film are in the hands of IFC Midnight, who have not yet revealed their release plans. We'll give an update when those details become available.
