Back in January I saw maybe 10 minutes from the upcoming DreamWorks animated superhero movie MEGAMIND (this is the one that was originally MASTERMIND and then OOBERMIND). It stars Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt in the story of a villain who accidentally kills his nemesis. The animation was very rough so I didn’t write much about it at the time but I’ll say I left feeling a little bit…skeptical. Yeah….
The first teaser trailer for the film is online and wisely focuses much of its attention on Will Ferrell’s Megamind character. He’s the one who accidentally kills Brad Pitt’s Metro Man and is forced to create a new hero (voiced by Jonah Hill) to do battle with. I’ll say politely that I’m not really a fan of what I’m seeing here and leave it at that. Check it out below and let me know what you think. MASTERMIND hits theaters this November.
