They say you save the best for last, so maybe that’s why one of the final things to come out of all of the Comic-Con hubbub is the trailer for KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM. Living up to its name, the preview gives off a serious ARMY OF DARKNESS vibe with an extra helping of comedy. Watch it below.

The flick is directed by Joe Lynch (WRONG TURN 2: DEAD END) and written by Matt Wall and Kevin Dreyfuss. It stars Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn, Summer Glau (below), Peter Dinklage, Margarita Levieva, Jimmi Simpson, Danny Pudi, Brett Gipson and Michael Gladis.

In this comedic fantasy adventure, Joe is a heavy metal rocker who’s just gone through a painful breakup with his girlfriend, Beth. His concerned roommates kidnap him to their LARP (Live Action Role Playing) gathering, where he enters a realm of fantasy escapism in which pretend knights, elves, and barbarians clash with foam weaponry on a mock battlefield. When Joe’s “sorcerer” roommate inadvertently summons a deadly succubus that takes Beth’s seductive form, bloody reality crashes down upon their fantasy world. Once LARPers start to turn up dead, the make-believe wizards and warriors must join forces with other adventurers to become the real life heroes they have been pretending to be and conquer the unleashed evil.
