Shadowy corridors and eerie ghost children are always ingredients for a spooky good time, and THE AWAKENING appears to be just that. Looking like it’s in the creepy tradition of THE OTHERS and DEVIL’S BACKBONE, THE AWAKENING is a 1921-set supernatural thriller starring Rebecca Hall and Dominic West. A new trailer for the film has hit the net, and we’ve got it for you below.

Set in post-World War I England in 1921, The Awakening follows a skeptical woman (Hall) who travels to a countryside boarding school to investigate rumors of an apparent haunting. Just when she thinks she has debunked the ghost theory, she has a chilling spectral encounter which defies all her rational beliefs.

Directed by Nick Murphy, THE AWAKENING opens on NOVEMBER 11th in the U.K. No word yet on a U.S. release, although it was just acquired for North American distribution by the Cohen Media Group.
