It's no secret that the folks over here at JoBlo really love Laika Studios' output, from CORALINE to PARANORMAN to THE BOXTROLLS, each film brings some breathtaking stop-motion to life and KUBO looks to be no different. Our set visit (check it out HERE) was a fascinating peek behind the curtain, and now it's time for the final trailer for Laika's most ambitious film to date. Bring on the training scenes!

Laika's previous films have never really busted the block, so to speak, but I'd love for KUBO to bring in some Pixar numbers. Tthe fact that they're accomplishing such a great mix of stop-motion and CGI when family films tend to lean towards the latter really makes the difference. Here's hoping the story matches the visuals.

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS opens in theaters on August 19, 2016.
