It has been really, really frustrating listening to people talk about TRICK ‘R TREAT lately. I still haven’t seen the f*cking thing, and I feel like that’s inexcusable. If only Netflix would get off its lazy ass and send it to me – or maybe someone would just give me a copy of it… (I don’t do illegal downloads, so keep that suggestion to yourself.) Sometimes, I feel like I don’t get all the perks I know I deserve…
With all the buzz and excitement generated leading up to TRICK’s, it’s only natural that sequel talk should begin. Director Michael Dougherty talked with MTV recently and mentioned that he’s already cooking up concepts for Part 2.
“Yeah, I have to say that the excitement over the past few months of watching the film grow has started to jumpstart some ideas, and I know how the next one ends… If this [DVD release] does become something, if it catches executives off-guard, it might [get sequels]. I would love to do them.”
For a blast from the past, check out my interview with Doughtery from the summer of 2007, when we all thought TRICK ‘R TREAT was coming out later that Autumn…
