Tucker and Dale vs. Evil director takes on The Hills Have Eyes for You!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this is cool! Deadline is reporting that director Eli Craig (TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL) and David Stieve (BEHIND THE MASK) are teaming up for Netflix's upcoming horror rom-com THE HILLS HAVE EYES FOR YOU!

Sounds good to me! I absolutely loved Craig's TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL (so much so, it was the basis for one of my first BEST HORROR YOU NEVER SAW videos), as well as Stieve's clever mockumentary BEHIND THE MASK, which was about a film crew following a prototypical slasher villain. Both films were extremely well adept at mashing disparate genres with horror – so I'm personally really looking forward to this one!

There's no official synopsis as of yet, but Craig said that

This [film] is a unique underdog love story with genre bending scares and a lot of laughs…I think I’ll be in my element for this one.

Producer Dan Farah added:

[the film's] a fresh and fun love story set against the backdrop of an elevated horror comedy.

However, no official start or release date as of yet, but we'll definitely keep you updated on this one!

So what do you guys think? Fans of either TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL or BEHIND THE MASK? If so, how does their new project sound to you? Either way, comment below!
