First some set photos, now some casting news…

In the same missive Deadline ran regarding ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, it’s noted that Michael Ealy (TAKERS, SEVEN POUNDS) has been added to the cast of UNDERWORLD 4: NEW DAWN. Dude’ll play a private dick in the flick!

Taking it further, Ealy will assume the male lead opposite the always stunning Kate Beckinsale (below), playing a police detective who first hunts the ass-kicking vampiress, only to team up with her shortly thereafter. Ah, what a cute couple…

Currently shooting in Vancouver, from a script by Michael Straczynski and John Hlavin, Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein’s film picks up:

After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her, they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.

Ealy (seen above), who goes back and forth between TV and film, also joins Sandrine Holt and Robert Lawrenson in UNDERWORLD 4. The film comes out January 20th, 2012.
