Twilight-esque Neowolf scores new DVD cover and date

Another week, another movie aimed at the TWILIGHT crowd, this time with just werewolves in the house (sorry sparkly vampires). The flick’s called NEOWOLF, and it just scored a brand-new DVD cover and a release date for you to plan your year around.

As you can see from the cover below, the DVD is aiming at those who threw their money at TWILIGHT, from the gray overtones to the pretty-boy out in front, to my personal favorite–the tagline (A Love Story Between a Girl and a Werewolf). This thing screams suck on so many levels.

And yet somehow it scored the coolest release date of the year: April 20, 2010. That’s 4/20 for ya’ll keeping score at home. However, besides being in widescreen and mixed with 5.1 audio, there’s not a special feature to be found. Then again, that might be a good thing.

But to be fair, what’s this sucker all about anyway? When an aspiring rock musician TONY returns to his college town to make up with his estranged girlfriend ROSEMARY, he finds his life taking an unexpected turn to the dark side when he encounters a mysterious rock band NEOWOLF led by rocker VINCE and the alluring band girl PAULA. When Rosemary’s best friend KEVIN turns up dead, Rosemary seeks out a Nursery owner MRS. BELAKOV who knows the secrets of an ancient evil.

Right. Enjoy the new cover below, scroll down a bit further and check out the film’s trailer, and get ready for NEOWOLF on DVD 4/20/2010.
