Director Joseph Kosinksi’s follow up to TRON: LEGACY is shaping up to be a nice slice of refined sci-fi, complete with a post-apocalyptic Earth, spacecraft, frickin’ laser beams, and a whole lot of cryptic talk about, well, everything.  Stir that in a pot and drop in some Tom Cruise and you get OBLIVION, which is easily one of my most anticipated films of the year.  I love the sleek, detailed look of his work (of which was shot in 4K) and can’t wait to soak it into my eyeballs via IMAX.

Today, EW debuted two new “alternate” posters for the film, one highlighting Cruise and co-star Morgan Freeman with the other highlighting the post-apocalyptic backdrop.  both are pretty damn cool and only serve to make me more excited to see this bad boy in motion.

Take a look:

OBLIVION, starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Melissa Leo, Zoe Bell, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Andrea Riseborough is set to hit theaters in 2D and IMAX on April 19, 2013.
