Two new BTS stills from Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2

I have a couple of behind-the-scenes shots for you this morning from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, courtesy of Marc Webb. The director recently tweeted two new images: one with an airborne Spidey and the other featuring some very realistic looking electrical blasts.

Synopsis:

We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

Although there are a few things that have me worried about the new film (Rhino and Electro's look, the CGI not looking that hot in the trailers), I'm pretty excited for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. Dane DeHaan should make a great Harry Osborn, and it will be awesome to see the start of all the villains coming together for Sony's planned SINISTER SIX movie.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, Sally Field, Colm Feore, Felicity Jones and B.J. Novak will open on May 2nd, 2014.
