Opening a limited theatrical run in two days is Gaspar Noe’s ENTER THE VOID, a hyper-stylized film about the ghostly reincarnation of a killed teenager. As such, we’ve just pawed a pair of new clips from the film…so if you haven’t gotten your daily dose of trippy visuals and twisted dreamlike milieus, by all means check these suckers out!
The first clip shows our lead character (not sure if he’s deceased at this point) having dinner with a friend’s family. He learns the mother of the family used to be a go-go dancer, and soon the two in the passionate throes of pre-coital tomfoolery.
Clip two, known as “The Pact,” shows our two leads Oscar and Lucinda recall the special pact they formed between each other as children.
Oscar and his sister Linda, recent arrivals in Tokyo. Oscar’s a small time drug dealer, and Linda works as a nightclub stripper. One night, Oscar is caught up in a police bust and shot. As he lies dying, his spirit, faithful to the promise he made his sister that he would never abandon her refuses to abandon the world of the living. It wanders through the city, his visions growing evermore distorted, evermore nightmarish. Past, present and future merge in a hallucinatory maelstrom.
ENTER THE VOID September 24th.
Paz De La Huerta plays the female lead!
