The teaser poster for THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT has just premiered over at Cinematical. I must say, it does a good job of ripping off both LORD OF THE RINGS and TWILIGHT: TWILIGHT because it’s making lead actor Chris Massoglia look vaguely like Robert Pattinson – complete with piercing eyes that you can just get lost in – and LORD OF THE RINGS because, shit, it’s basically the same image. Here’s what you need to know about Chris Weitz’s THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT, based upon the novel by Darren Shan: Pulled into a fantastic life of misunderstood sideshow freaks and grotesque creatures of the night, one teen will vanish from the safety of a boring existence and fulfill his destiny in a place drawn from nightmares.
