Good grief!
It was March of 2008 when AITH last wrote about Dietrich Johnston’s vampire mash-up BLOOD SHOT, a flick yet to be released. I know it’s about nocturnal bloodsuckers and all, but damn, you’d think this thing would wanna see the light of day at some point. Well, a newly minted poster for the Lance Henriksen/Brad Dourif starrer has been rolled out. If interested, give a gander underneath.
In the poster, you’ll find a gun toting ghoul trying to catch some Z’s in a sweet sarcophagus…of course, looking like Uncle Fester’s f*ckin’ cousin ain’t really threatening much…then again it is an action/horror/comedy.
Shot in Dallas and L.A. on a rough $2 million budget, BLOOD SHOT picks up as:
A notorious Middle Eastern terrorist (Dourif) is plotting a major attack on the U.S. that includes detonating a powerful nuke in the heart of Los Angeles; the only thing standing in his way is an unlikely duo formed by a mysterious vampire (Bailey Smith) and a rogue cop (Elliott) who reluctantly join forces to thwart his gang of motley terrorists before it’s too late.
Martin Klebba, Michael Bailey Smith, Paula Trickey, Jeff Chase, Pej Vahdat, Azita Ghanizada (below), Assaf Cohen, Kristy Clainos, Diana Gettinger, David Mattey, Brennan Elliot and Deke Anderson also star in the movie.
No word on a release, but feel free to scope out the Official Site for the film.
