Vampire/Twilight spoof gets a brainless title

VAMPIRES SUCK. Really, that’s the brilliant title given to Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg’s upcoming “comedy” that will spoof the vampire genre – although let’s face it, they’re probably only going after one franchise, one already so easy to mock that making fun of it for an entire movie seems really redundant. (Not to mention painful.) Let me guess – they’re going to make fun of Edward’s hair about five thousand times. It’ll probably be really big and messy. Bella will be really mopey and stoned-looking. Wolfboy will take his shirt off every three seconds. Oh, the hilarity…

Friedberg and Seltzer are the cretins behind DATE MOVIE, EPIC MOVIE, DISASTER MOVIE and MEET THE SPARTANS – “movies” that collectively average a 2% rating on RottenTomatoes. Hard to believe that a studio (Fox) is giving them money to further blight the art of cinema as well as shame their family names, but that’s Hollywood for you.
