Venice Lineup Announced

JoBloJoBlo

The lineup for The Venice Film Festival was announced today and it by no means disappoints. A higher profile opener you do not get, as the Coen Brothers BURN AFTER READING nabbed the coveted honor. The film stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt, two actors who some would argue are kinda sorta worthy of the opening slot. Other films that will be premiering at the festival and that you in particular should be excited about include Darren Aronofsky’s THE WRESTLER (which is in competition), Jonathan Demme’s RACHEL GETTING MARRIED and Kathryn Bigelow’s THE HURT LOCKER.

This festival may be the little puppy in between Cannes and Toronto but that lineup is nothing to scoff at. It runs from Aug. 27-Sept. 6 so book off work boys! I smell a road trip!
