Vertigo as comedy?

JoBloJoBlo

Director Jay Roach (MEET THE PARENTS) and writer Ken Kaufman (CURIOUS GEORGE) have signed with Warner Bros. to developed an untitled comedic version of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic VERTIGO. The film would follow two party-loving buddies, one of whom suddenly dies. The other guy is understandably broken up until one day he meets a shorter, nerdier version of his friend. Then, a la VERTIGO, he sets out to refashion him into his deceased pal. Roach has been busy producing, working on BORAT and THE HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY but hasn’t done much directing lately. His last project USED GUYS with Ben Stiller and Jim Carrey fell apart just weeks before shooting was scheduled to begin. In addition to this project, he’s also developing the final FOCKERS film supposedly titled LITTLE FOCKERS.
