It's been close to fifteen years since Sacha Baron Cohen unleashed Borat Sagdiyev upon unsuspecting theater audiences with BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN, and it would seem that the Kazakh journalist might just be making a return…for something.
Sacha Baron Cohen was recently spotted on the streets of Los Angeles driving a battered old pickup truck which was being towed by a filming van. At the time, it's not known just why Cohen has reprised the role, but I suspect we'll find out before too long.

The character of Borat was brought to life by Sacha Baron Cohen in episodes of Da Ali G Show before the character made the leap to the big-screen for BORAT. The film was extremely well received, but Cohen later said that he would be retiring the character as he had become too well known. That said, Cohen has reprised the role on several occasions, most recently in November 2018 for Jimmy Kimmel Live! in a segment dealing with the mid-term elections. While some fans are hoping that this new sighting means that BORAT 2 is on the way, there are several other possibilities, including new episodes of HBO series Who Is America? or something election-related, the latter of which would be my bet.
