Film4 FrightFest just got a little bit more insane as it was announced today that V/H/S: VIRAL will be screening as part of its 15th annual fest in London. If you're lucky enough to be attending the fest this year then you can catch the premiere of V/H/S: VIRAL on Monday, August 25. The rest of us are going to have to wait until this one hits VOD, however, as Magnet Releasing and Magnolia Pictures will release the film on October 23, 2014, with a limited theatrical run slated for November 21, 2014. Hopefully we’ll be hearing some great things out of Film4 FrightFest this year!

This entry welcomes Nacho Vigalondo (TIMECRIMES), Marcel Sarmiento (THE ABC'S OF DEATH's "D is for Dogfight"), Gregg Bishop (DANCE OF THE DEAD), Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (RESOLUTION, SPRING) and Todd Lincoln (THE APPARITION) on directing duties.

V/H/S: VIRALS's segments include…

…the story of a deranged illusionist who obtains a magical object of great power, a homemade machine that opens a door to a parallel world, teenage skaters that unwillingly become targets of a Mexican death cult ritual, and a sinister, shadowy organization that is tracking a serial killer. The segments are tied together by the story of a group of fame-obsessed teens following aviolent car chase in LA that unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.

I enjoyed most of the second film, so I’m pretty excited to see what this crop of directors have in store. Hopefully we’ll see some segments that top last year’s SAFE HAVEN. That shit was nuts!
