On September 6th, Bill Skarsgard will be returning to the big screen as Pennywise the clown in IT: CHAPTER TWO. Just two weeks later, Gunpowder & Sky's horror brand ALTER will be giving a theatrical release to another Skarsgard film, VILLAINS.

Written and directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, VILLAINS pits Skarsgard and Maika Monroe against Jeffrey Donovan and Kyra Sedgwick in the following story:

Mickey and Jules are lovers on the run, headed southbound for a fresh start in the Sunshine State. When their car dies after a gas station robbery, they break into a nearby house looking for a new set of wheels. What they find instead is a dark secret and a sweet-as-pie pair of homeowners who will do anything to keep it from getting out.

That's a decent, albeit familiar, set-up. I'm looking forward to seeing these four actors bounce off of each other. And to finding out what that dark secret is.

Co-produced by BRON Studios, Star Thrower Entertainment, Creative Wealth Media Finance, and The Realm Films, VILLAINS will be reaching theatres on September 20th.
