Vin ready for Riddick

It’s pretty hard to fathom that we may actually get more RIDDICK movies at this point. It’s been five years since THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK came out, and it seriously underwhelmed audiences ($115 million worldwide) and critics (30% “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes) alike. Still, people enjoy their Vin Diesel, and the Riddick character, and so we may see more of the big guy with the weird eyesight yet…

On his Facebook fan page, Diesel had this to say:

“The Riddick discussion is about rating now… Though Hollywood likes their PG Ratings, the next chapter in the COR series was always envisioned as an R rating, like Pitch Black…

One Studio exec suggested doing both “The Underverse” and “The Furyan”, (working titles) at the same time, allowing us an R rating for the first and a PG rating for the second.

The good news- David Twohy’s script comes in next month.”

I find it a little hard to believe that they’d make two more Riddick movies – and one with a PG rating? Odd, to say the least. Then again, I shouldn’t be one to doubt the good man’s word…
