Walking Dead Season 1 special edition DVD/Blu-ray re-release coming in October

In what has to be one of the fastest double dips of all time, Anchor Bay Entertainment will re-release Season 1 of “THE WALKING DEAD” on October 4 – just in time for the premiere of the second season. The special edition will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and limited edition Blu-ray collector’s tin.

The acclaimed show, created by Frank Darabont, is based on the Image Comics title from Robert Kirkman, which follows the survivors of a zombie apocalypse. It stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Steven Yeun and Chandler Riggs. Season 2 returns to AMC in October with 13 new episodes.
