As much a general intruduction to the world of THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS as it is a prequel story, this short animated film is both beautiful in its artistry and surprisingly low on the ridiculousness quotient. At least in comparison to the trailer for the movie proper. Oh, don’t worry – crazy shit does go down. It’s just not nearly on the level of what we’ve come to expect from the upcoming movie itself.

That being said, the short (called “The Encounter) is very worth checking out if you’re at all looking forward to The RZA’s funk-filled kung-fu flick which hits in both 2D and 3D formats on November 2nd.
