Naomi Watts has kept a pretty low profile since KING KONG. It’s been a year and a half and we’ve only seen her in one movie since (THE PAINTED VAIL and I’m not sure exactly how many actually saw her in that…). Of course that’s no career slump but likely due to the fact that Watts is pregnant with Liev Schrieber’s baby. But Watts has two projects wrapped and is attached to star in the upcoming drama WE ARE ALL THE SAME. The film is based on the true story of Gail Johnson, a woman who adopted an African boy suffering from AIDS and traveled the world with him raising awareness of the disease. The film will be based on the book of the same name that was written by “Nightline” correspondent Jim Wooten. Watts isn’t due until later this year so production likely wouldn’t begin until 2008 some time. To fill our Naomi fix we’ve got FUNNY GAMES and EASTERN PROMISES both set for release this year.
