We’re not very far away from SCREAM 4‘s opening, hard as it is to believe. Sure, it’s only January now, but remember when the sequel was a year off? It’ll be here before you know it. Before then, we’re still piecing together bits of plot information, which have been hard to come by. Today, however, we get a little closer to what’s going down in the Wes Craven film…

In an brief blurb in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (via SCREAM fansite Hello Sidney), Craven talks about bit about SCREAM 4‘s starting off point: “Sid is under attack. She has a phobia – she’s never come back to her town except for the funeral of her father. Now she’s returning to a world that’s sane again, and then, of course, immediately it is not!”

Poor Sidney. Will she ever find normalcy? Hopefully not…

SCREAM 4 opens on APRIL 15th.
