This one comes from the LA Times and has to do with the third book in the franchise, ECLIPSE. Remember last month, when I told you how Drew Barrymore’s name was being considered to direct ECLIPSE? Well thankfully(?) Barrymore is out and it looks like Weitz is in! But wait a minute… So Chris Weitz is directing both NEW MOON and ECLIPSE? Well no. So what’s going on?
Apparently Chris Wetiz’s brother Paul is in line to direct ECLIPSE. Well that’s interesting. It seems Chris will be directing NEW MOON with Paul producing and the duo will flip-flop for ECLIPSE. Maybe they’ll joint direct the fourth one? Who knows. (who cares?) Mind you this isn’t solid news just yet… we’re still waiting on a confirmation, or a denial for that matter.
