While SOCIAL NETWORK and MONEYBALL writer Aaron Sorkin felt somehow ill-equipped to take on a Pixar animated film at the behest of Steve Jobs, the A-list Hollywood screenwriter may now end up tackling the late Apple founder instead.
According to LA Times’ 24 Frames, Sony is pushing forward with their Steve Jobs biopic, a film based on the just released Walter Isaacson biography Steve Jobs which the studio recently acquired. 24 Frames says that Sony is after Sorkin to write the film. A kind of obvious choice when you consider not only the writer’s work on the Oscar-winning SOCIAL NETWORK (a Sony film to boot), but that he had also been acquainted with Jobs (he wrote a brief “In Memoriam” for Newsweek upon Jobs’ passing).
