The last time Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise teamed up was 1994s INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE. I remember reading several rumors stating that Pitt had a lousy time on INTERVIEW but Cruise’s next project, RUN LIKE HELL is keeping his interest.

Right now, Cruise is on as Carroll Shelby with Joseph Kosinski (OBLIVION) in the directors chair. The film is based on A.J. Baime’s “Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans” which centers on the true story of “the competition between the Ford Motor Company and Italian sports car designer Enzo Ferrari, which culminated at the 1966 Le Mans race.”

In 2009 before Cruise and Kosinski jumped on board, Pitt was attached to star with Michael Mann as the director. Pitt is talking with the new team including writers Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.

While I am a fan of INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE especially Cruise’s performance, Pitt’s acting sort of showed that he wasn’t as into it. Regardless the two were a great duo who played well off of each other. I wouldn’t mind seeing them reunite for something different.
