THE HOUSE follows a dad who convinces his friends to start an illegal casino in his basement after he and his wife spend their daughter's college fund. More importantly, the film stars Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, and the criminally underrated Jason Mantzoukas (Rafi from The League)! Check out the first trailer for the comedy below!
As much as I absolutely love the cast for this one, sometimes a simple premise just doesn't come together in front of the cameras. Ferrell seems to be playing a pretty mild version of himself, with Poehler not doing much here either. Even Mantzoukas, who his absolutely hilarious as the odd man out, is pretty tame. Despite the R-rating on the poster, this one looks like it's aiming for the PG-13 crowd. Hopefully it has a little more to deliver than what we see in the first trailer.
