Will there be an exorcism scene in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance? Nic Cage says so!

I think it’s safe to say we’re all pumped to see what kind of ass-kicking boots Nicky Cage’ll strap up in DRIVE ANGRY 3D this Friday, but let’s not forget about the promising collaboration he’s currently filming for those wackos, Neveldine and Taylor. That’s right y’all, I’m talking about GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE!

In what could be a radical franchise overhaul, SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE looks and sound pretty cool so far, and with the nugget Cage just dropped to FearNET, it could be even cooler. You see, word is the second GHOST RIDER film will feature some kind of ghastly exorcism. But don’t believe me, take it from the Cage man himself:

“There’s an exorcism scene I just did where Johnny Blaze is being exorcized. And then I also play Ghost Rider, who’s the spirit of Zarathos, who’s a corrupted angel. So it’s like completely different entities. The movie is not like anything I’ve done before. It’s completely original. I think it’s a really high adrenaline ride. And I think you’ll see things in it that are mysterious as well.”

Fuckin-A that sounds rad. With Cage partaking in some awfully dubious material of late, here’s hoping he gets his career back on track with not only DRIVE ANGRY 3D, but SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE as well. By the way, in case you missed it, give our look at Cage’s boldest performances a read.

Also starring Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Violante Placido (below), Ciaran Hinds and possibly Christopher Lambert – GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE speeds into theaters February 17th, 2012.
