William Fichtner the latest to join Neill Blomkamp’s sci-fi epic Elysium

Y’all know who Bill Fichtner is, right? Dude’s the man!

Clearly Neill Blomkamp feels the same, as he’s just offered Fichtner a chance to participate in his upcoming alien flick ELYSIUM. If what Variety reports is accurate (he’s in the final negotiating stage), William will join the likes of Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura and likely Jodie Foster…the latter of whom he shared the screen with in CONTACT back in 1997.

No word on what Fichtner’s role will entail in ELYSIUM, as most of the film is being kept under tight wraps. One thing is for sure though, the dude’s been doing bit-work in everything from HEAT, BLACK HAWK DOWN, THE DARK KNIGHT, “Prison Break,” “Entourage” and most recently DRIVE ANGRY (just to name a few). Seriously, this guy’s one hell of an actor.

ELYSIUM hits the masses March 8th, 2013.

Fichtner’s DRIVE ANGRY co-star Christa Campbell!
