Witches have apocalyptic plans in Siren team’s The Sisters of Samhain

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Yesterday we shared the news that SUPER DARK TIMES / SiREN screenwriters Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski are writing the script for a remake of the 2014 Spanish psychological thriller SHREW'S NEST that has Rachel Chavkin attached to direct. That's not the only genre project Collins and Piotrowski have in the works, as it has also been announced that they're re-teaming with SiREN director Gregg Bishop for a film called THE SISTERS OF SAMHAIN.

Fangoria owner Cinestate is financing and will handle distribution for THE SISTERS OF SAMHAIN, which is about

a group of friends who team up with a witch on Halloween night to prevent a rogue coven from bringing about the end of the world.

Cinestate/Fangoria's Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk are producing the film alongside Brad Miska and Tom Owen of Bloody Disgusting, Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor of Practical Pictures, and Andy Cohen of Grade A Entertainment. John Squires is co-producing, with Adam Donaghey, Phil Nobile Jr., and Danielle Cox serving as executive producers.

The plot for this one sounds like fun, and just like SUPER DARK TIMES got me interested in the career of Collins and Piotrowski, Bishop's film DANCE OF THE DEAD convinced me that I need to watch anything he ever makes.

Collins and Piotrowski also wrote David Bruckner's THE NIGHT HOUSE, which Searchlight Pictures paid $12 million for after it screened at Sundance.

Just putting this trailer here because it's a witch movie.
